On February 2nd, the Allentown JazzFest made the first of a series of announcements regarding the artist lineup for the 2016 Festival. AJF2016 will begin on Friday, April 29th and conclude on Sunday, May 8th.
“We are pleased to bring some of the best jazz, funk and electronic musicians in the world to Allentown during AJF2016,” said Bryan Tuk, Executive Director and CEO of Performing Arts Live! Inc., the presenter of AJF2016. He continued, “In addition to the musical performances, we are going to present content in a variety of formats that people may not expect but will really enjoy.”

Sun. 5/1: jazz violinist Scott Tixier
Mon. 5/2: Adam Niewood Quartet
Tues. 5/3: grammy winning pianist Laurence Hobgood
Wed. 5/4: critically acclaimed saxophonist and composer Steve Coleman and Five Elements
Thur. 5/5: LA based jazz singer Lucy Woodward
Fri. 5/6: The Hell’s Kitchen Funk Orchestra
Sat. 5/7: Ron McCurdy’s Langston Hughes Project
In addition to the preliminary announcement, there will be a series of announcements throughout February and March about the increased scope of AJF2016, which will provide local audiences and visitors with a multidimensional experience throughout the city.
