The first round of shows in the 2015 Allentown JazzFest will occur at Miller Symphony Hall on May 1, 2 and 3. In addition, Performing Arts Live! is very proud to announce that the Allentown Art Museum of the Lehigh Valley is sponsoring the JazzFest in part and will host a JazzFest performance at 1pm on Sunday May 3rd, the final day of the JazzFest. “The fact that Performing Arts Live! can work side by side with the Allentown Symphony and also the Allentown Art Museum, the two biggest arts institutions in Allentown, is really gratifying. The Art Museum obviously is one of the key cultural institutions in the Lehigh Valley and we’re really very pleased to work with them.” said Bryan Tuk, Executive Director and CEO of Performing Arts Live!
“We are excited to be one of the venues hosting musical artists during this first year of JazzFest. Jazz truly is an American art form, and one that is more than welcome in the Museum’s galleries,” said Chris Potash, Manager of Marketing and Public Relations at the Allentown Art Museum. “We’re pleased to present our JazzFest event on Sunday, when admission to the Museum is free, so that the entire community can come out and enjoy the show.”
The JazzFest presenter, Performing Arts Live!, is bringing some of the best musicians in the world to perform at Miller Symphony Hall, the Allentown Art Museum, The Renaissance Allentown and other venues in Allentown. The complete performance schedule will be released on March 27th.
