Allentown JazzFest and Lehigh Valley Faces Announce Marketing Partnership for AJF2016

Today, JazzFest announces a media partnership with Lehigh Valley Faces Marketing and Development to leverage the strengths of both organizations in building the Allentown JazzFest into one of the premier jazz and arts festivals in the country. “JazzFest has certainly gained a lot of traction regionally in the Mid-Atlantic States and has developed a strong reputation in only our second year as a curator of musical expression that is quite unique,” said Bryan Tuk, Executive Director and CEO of Performing Arts Live! Inc., the presenter of the Allentown JazzFest.  “In our debut year, we drew fans from as far west as Pittsburgh, and as far south as Northern Virginia/Washington DC area.  Our social media footprint covers the Philly and NYC Metro areas, with half of our followers in those regions.”

“Locally in the Valley, we want to further cultivate our identity as an artistically valid and unique music festival with something for absolutely everyone,” Tuk said.

One of the missions of JazzFest is to create educational opportunities for secondary and elementary students.  At AJF2016, high school students will have an opportunity to learn and perform in Allentown with Al Chez, nationally recognized trumpeter and teacher.  Select elementary students will have an opportunity to learn from internationally renowned saxophonist and composer Steve Coleman.

“It was JazzFest’s educational mission that attracted the interest of LVF,” LVF’s Chief Operating Officer, Kevin Greene said. “Providing our youth with educational opportunities; especially in the arts ensures that our youth have an outlet for creativity. The overall community benefits from this experience, as it provides a platform for art to continue to thrive in the Lehigh Valley.  LVF is excited to partner with JazzFest because it aligns with the values and vision of what we believe community to be.”

Tuk stated, “Kevin’s passion for the Allentown community informs a lot of what LVF does and LVF is a perfect fit for JazzFest and how I want JazzFest to relate to the city.”
